FAQ: bounce house's and combo units

FAQ's and Policies:

 Q. What is the length of time for the rental of each piece of equipment?
A. Pricing is based on an all day rental. We deliver before your event starts and pick-up in the evening. We are flexible so just call if you need something other than this. Overnight rentals require an additional rental charge based on the inflatable unit you are renting.  Overnight rental charges are one-third (1/3) of the one day rental rate, plus applicable taxes. 2-day rentals are typically delivered and set up at 10:00AM on day 1 and picked up (deflated) at 6:00 PM on day 2. Two day rentals are an additional one-half (1/2) of the  one-day rental rate.

Q. Do you deliver and set-up?
A. Yes! We'll need someone at the event to show us where to setup the equipment. We deliver the equipment, set it up and return to take it down at the end of your rental period. Sorry, for safety reasons, we do not allow customer pick up.

Q. What do I need to do before delivery?

A. Pick a level  area you want the bounce house set. Clear the area of all  sticks, rocks any sharp objects. If you have pets and have pooper scooped where the inflatable will be set up please cover the scooped area to create a barrier to protect the inflatable as it will damage the vinyl.

We'll also need to know if there are sprinkler systems. It is the customers responsibilty to inform the delivery crew of potential hazards. Inflatables can only be operated safely if they are well-secured. We bring stakes or sandbags depending on where the units are sitting. If you make last minute changes, please let us know (especially grass to cement) in order that we'll have the proper tie down equipment with us, last minute changes that result in the delivery crew returning to the office to pick up required equipment will result in an additional service fee of $75.00.

Q. What kind of special equipment is required?
A. We supply all necessary equipment.

Q. What type of electrical outlet do I need?
A. Each inflatable blower runs off of a regular 110V, 20amp
circuit outlet.  Customers are responsible for power.  Carousel Moonwalks is NOT liable for problems due to power issues. Generally we need (1) 20 amp circuit for EACH blower. (other items can't be plugged into the same circuit) We furnish one 50' extension cord. Unit must be placed within 50' of power source. Longer cords mean the blower will lose power, as the extension cord gets longer causing a potential fire hazard and damage to the blower itself.

Q. What type of surface can the inflatable be placed on?
A. Bounce houses can be placed on grass, pavement, hardwood floors or low carpeting. Indoor or Outdoor. Grass is the preferred outdoor set-up location for the safety of the users. it is HIGHLY recommended that the inflatable be set up on grass whenever possible. It is possible that someone could slip getting into or out of the inflatable and hit the cement. The cement is unforgiving when this happens.
Carousel Moonwalks drivers will not set-up on dirt, rocks or any sharp objects.
Q. My yard slopes a bit, will that be O.K?
A. A slight slope is not a problem. If the area slopes more than a little, we may request an alternate location. Safety is the most important consideration for your set-up area. Please have an alternate location in mind.
Q. Can they be set-up indoors?
A. Yes! Moonwalks can be set-up indoors providing there is enough ceiling clearance. . Gyms, auditoriums and other large halls are perfect.
 Q. Can they be set-up in parks?
A. Yes! Each city has different rules.  Please check with the cities Parks and Recreation Department for their regulations. Check for electric availibility. There will be an additional fee if a generator is needed.
Q. How much room do I need?
A.The amount of room varies between each moonwalk. A minimum of 2 feet on all four sides is required. Moonwalks must be away from fences, pools, play sets, overhead utility lines, low hanging tree branches and any other permanent standing structures. Vertical clearance measurements are about 20 feet for moonwalks. We would be happy to discuss space requirements when you make your reservation.
Q. What kind of supervision is necessary?
A.
All of our equipment requires adult supervision at all times! The prices for our equipment rentals assume that you, the customer, will provide competent adult supervision for the safety of the users.  Accidents on equipment generally come from two things: too many participants on unit and unit not kept secured. Attendants should monitor amount of children/adults and make sure they're acting responsibly. They also should periodically check equipment for secureness to ground. Safety briefings are given before all events and we require a signature from customer or representative stating this has been done.
Q. How many kids can play at once?
A. This depends on the ages and sizes of the children. Generally speaking, the bounce house can accommodate 4-10 children of the same size/age group at one time. Chaperons should limit the number of larger children.

Children Age 4 to Age 7: 8-10 Little People (Maximum weight of each individual occupant not to exceed 100 Lbs.)
Children Ages 8 - 12: 5-7 Young People (Maximum weight of each individual occupant not to exceed 140 Lbs.)
Over age 12: 3-4 Teens or Adults (Maximum weight of each individual occupant not to exceed 225 Lbs.)

For their safety, children 3 and under are not permitted in / on the inflatable unit(s), per manufacturer recommendations.

 Q. Does it get hot inside of the inflatable?
A. It is not any warmer or cooler in the bounce house than outside of it. The jumping and playing are what really get you warmed up, so drink plenty of water.
Q. Are the bounce houses clean?
A. All of our units are cleaned after each use, and disinfected either at cleaning or set up. However, due to time restrictions it may be necessary to clean the inflatable at your location when it is delivered.
We are committed to making sure that your children have a clean, healthy and safe environment in which to play.
Q. Do I have to clean the inflatable?
A.We expect to receive our inflatables back in a fairly clean manner. We realize that children in and out of it all day, can allow grass to enter by means of their socks. We will not charge for cleaning this. However, since you will receive a list of general rules at the time of setup, any food, drink stains or not following any other listed rule of this nature will result in a minimum $75.00 clean-up fee at the time of pickup. The inflatable will be inspected before its packed up at your location.
Q. What are the rules when using the bounce house?
A. No food, no drinks, no shoes,no gum, NO SILLY STRING, no sharp objects, no toys, no confetti no visible metal zippers, no medical conditions including pregnancy, no wresting/roughhousing, no hanging on the netting, no flips, and NO Sand. A word about silly string, it breaks down the vinyl  any where it touches and you will be held responsible for the inflatable replacement of $3,000.00 up to $10,000.00 depending on the rented unit.
Q. What if it rains during the rental?
A. Carousel Moonwalks operates rain or shine. Unplug the blower and move it out of the rain while you let the inflatable deflate. Once the rain stops, plug the blower back in and wipe the bounce house down to dry it off with a clean towel and it is safe to continue bouncing. It is not safe to bounce under high winds (25 mph or higher), thunder or lightning. During such conditions, the unit must be turned off. We also watch weather conditions and reserve the right to cancel a booking if the conditions are not safe. **Any downpour, lightning or high winds are unsafe conditions for operation.  Additionally the customer is responsible for repair charges for damaged inflatable units as the result of high winds being ignored and neglecting to deflate the inflatable, also, damage to the inflatable from allowing riders to use the inflatable when wet & slippery that can result in side webbing, vinyl, and seam stitching to be ripped or torn.

Q.What if the inflatable is damaged during my event?
A.If there is a defect in the inflatable, there will be no charge. Depending on the situation, if the inflatable is damaged due to a preventable circumstance.. (example: dog chewed on it, someone cut it with a knife, or sharp object on clothes), then a repair fee will be incurred (Please see rental agreement).

Q. Are reservations necessary?
 A. No!  We suggest you call at least 3 to 5 weeks ahead of time to get the best selection. But it may also be possible to get a last minute order.

Q. How do I make a reservation?
A. Reservations are taken by phone or email. When reserving a moonwalk or slide, please have the following information ready: your name, address where unit will be delivered to, phone number where you can be reached and the type of surface the unit will be setup on and your credit/debit card information.
